Ch Latour 1967
The Chateau Latour site has been occupied since 1331, with a fort and garrison to guard the estuary. The site gained recognition from Montaigne as early as the 16th Century. Cabernet Sauvignon dominates in the vineyard, accounting for around 80 percent of the plantings. Merlot makes up most of the remainder, and there are also small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This 1967 was an overlooked year because of the fabulous 1966. However, this vintage is very strong in longevity. The fill is excellent and the cork is very sound. The label has a slight tear.
